Verification codes by text
Last updated: October 10, 2026
SMG Tools is a product of MECCSoft LLC. This page describes the only kind of text message SMG Tools sends from its own number, +1 (855) 764-4112: a one-time code that confirms who you are.
What the texts are
Service businesses use SMG Tools to send their customers proposals, agreements and invoices. Before you sign or decline a document a business sent you, cancel or move a visit, or open your own records with them, SMG Tools checks it is you with a six-digit code. The code always comes by email, and also by text when the business texts its customers and has your mobile number.
How you ask for one
On the page the business sent you, press Send my code. Beside the button the page says the code may come by text to your mobile — naming its last four digits — that it is one text from SMG Tools each time you ask, that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help, with links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Nothing is sent until you press the button. A code goes only to the mobile number the business already has for you: nobody can type a number in to receive one.
What a text says
Rivera Plumbing via SMG Tools: Your signing code is 123456. It expires shortly. Reply STOP to opt out.
It names the business you are dealing with and SMG Tools, and carries only the code: no links and no marketing. One text each time you ask. A code works once and expires after ten minutes.
Costs, stopping and help
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop all texts from this number. Your codes still come by email, so you can go on signing and confirming who you are.
- Reply HELP for help, or email support@smgtools.com.
Your number
The business you are dealing with keeps your mobile number; SMG Tools texts it from this number only to send the code you asked for. It is never sold, and never shared for marketing. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
