Each one is a question: is this an expense (and for which job), a payment against an invoice, income, a transfer between your own accounts, or something to ignore? SMG Tools suggests; you confirm. Nothing is categorized on your behalf.
A bank transaction is a record of what the bank said and never changes. It maps to at most one thing in your books, so a payment cannot be counted twice, and an invoice payment is never mistaken for income — it reduces what is owed rather than adding to revenue.
