Every feature explained, without signing in
A help page for each thing the product does, written for the job you are trying to do — readable before you sign up, and linked from the screen you are on.
There is now a help page for every feature in SMG Tools, at smgtools.com/help. No account, no login, no chat widget. Sixty-eight pages, grouped by the part of the business they belong to, and you can read any of them before you decide whether to sign up.
They are organized by what you are trying to do, not by how the product is built. Send the finished list to your client. What a required step stops. Understand the three prices. Those are the headings, because that is how the question arrives — nobody sits down wanting to learn about a module.
The screen you are on links to the paragraph that explains it. Open the help on the Checklists page and you land on Write a checklist for a kind of work, not at the top of a long page you then have to search. It opens in a new tab, so a half-filled form is still there when you come back.
Each page says which plan its feature needs, where you meet the part that needs it rather than only at the top. And reading the pages is free on every plan — the pages are what Starter gets, and they always will be.
Two things worth knowing about how they stay true. Each page is written from the product’s own feature record and says only what has shipped — no roadmap, no coming soon, nothing you would sign up for and then not find. And the build refuses to publish a page that has fallen behind the feature it describes, so the page you read is the product you get.
If you have ever wondered whether this product does a particular thing, the answer is now a page you can read in a minute rather than a demo you have to book.
