Every tool's switch does what it says, and Settings opens its settings

Your Tools page is where you add and remove what your business uses. Using it, we found a few tools that did not do what their cards said, and fixed each one.

The QuickBooks export is a tool you can remove. It used to read Connected for every business and could not be taken away. It is now an ordinary tool under Money, still on for every business that had it: remove it and the QuickBooks panel leaves your Reports page; add it back and the three files are there as before. Nothing was ever linked to QuickBooks, so nothing is disconnected.

Removing a tool stops what it does. With Tips removed, your invoices stop asking your customer for a tip. With On the Way removed, the on-my-way text and the tracking link in your client’s emails stop too. With Route Planning removed, reminders name the visit’s own time rather than the planned arrival. Businesses that were already asking for tips have Tips added for them, so nothing they had switched on went quiet.

Import & export shows what your business has. The imports and exports of a tool you have not added are no longer offered. Add the tool and they come back.

Settings opens its settings. A tool’s Settings now opens the page its settings are on, scrolled to the section and with the keyboard’s focus on it: Tips on the Payments page, the Routing and Pay period sections on Team, the tax set-aside on your business details, On My Way on Client Reminders. A section says when its tool is not on, with the way to add it. On My Way and Reminders name the planned arrival are now shown on every plan, because the tools they belong to are.
