Service agreements, recurring billing, and a directory of businesses on SMG Tools
Recurring work as a record of its own — visits that become jobs on a schedule, invoices on a billing cycle, a saved card charged automatically — plus an opt-in public directory.
A service agreement sits between the client and the jobs it produces: what is done, how often, for how much, for how long. Visits are scheduled by rule and become jobs; invoices are raised on the billing cycle; membership benefits — a discount, priority scheduling — are recorded and applied. A client’s saved card can be charged automatically when an agreement bills. Each agreement shows what it earns against what it costs to serve, and the recurring revenue report across the whole book — MRR, ARR, churn — is Professional.
The Contractor Directory at smgtools.com/directory lists businesses on SMG Tools by service and area, with radius matching. A business that existed before today is not listed until it opts in; a new one starts listed and can leave at any time. Free, never ranked, never promoted.
The transaction fee changes shape today: 0.25% of the payment plus a $1 minimum on Starter, deducted from the payment rather than added to it; no minimum on the paid plans.
