Shifts, on call and time off your crew asks for
Weeks that alternate and days that change, a rota of who is on call with after-hours leads sent to them, and time off your crew asks for in the app — on the timesheet by kind.
A crew is rarely the same week every week. Somebody works every other Saturday, somebody takes the emergency phone this weekend, and somebody texts the owner on a Sunday night asking for Friday off. Now all of it is in one place, on every plan, as a tool you add from the Tools page.
Weeks that differ. On a person’s Schedule tab, give them a second week to alternate with, or change any day or run of days — works this Saturday, off next Tuesday. Online booking, the Day Board, Find a time and the suggestions read the changed day, and you are shown any visit a change leaves uncovered. Nothing is moved for you.
Who is on call. Keep a rota from the Day Board: who is on call, from when to when, repeating every week or every other week. Booking never offers on-call time, but an evening call dropped on the person on call lands without a question. A lead, a call your assistant took or a visit booked online that arrives after hours goes to whoever is on call, in For you and on their phone, with the number to call back.
Time off, asked for. Your crew asks on My Day or their profile — a day, a few days or part of one, with a note. Whoever sets hours finds it in For you with what is booked then, and approves or declines it, saying why. Until it is decided, the time stays bookable, and the Day Board, the calendar and the suggestions say it is asked for. The person hears the answer on their phone, by email and on My Day.
On the timesheet. With Timesheets, time away says whether it is vacation, sick, holiday or unpaid and the hours it counts, worked out from the person’s day. The Timesheets page shows each person’s time off beside their hours, and the Summary, Detail and Gusto files carry it, so payroll pays it from the same export.
A business that does not add the tool works the same week every week, exactly as before. Removing it deletes nothing.
