Tell SMG Tools your trade and it shows you the tools and starter content that fit it — kinds of work, a visit checklist, the readings a visit takes — to keep or leave out line by line.
A new plumbing business should not have to find Client Equipment, Measurements and Service Agreements one at a time. Setup now asks your trade straight after your business details and shows its kit: the tools that kind of work uses, and the starter content that makes them useful on day one — the kinds of work you do, a visit checklist, the readings a visit takes, the kinds of unit you work on, and for HVAC, pest control and landscaping the compliance record a regulator can ask for.
Every line can be unticked, and nothing is added until you continue. Read your website or describe your business and setup names the trade for you; skip setup and you are shown the general kit, the tools nearly every service business uses, to start with or not.
Already set up? Start from a kit on the Tools page adds only what you do not have yet, and never removes or changes anything. The Tools page now suggests the tools from your trade’s kit you have not added, and the assistant’s Help tab, asked what a business like yours uses, answers with the kit.
There is a kit for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, cleaning and landscaping, each with a page on the website that says exactly what it brings.
