Where this started

A job-centric tool for people who do the work: an account, a business, and the jobs it runs, built so that scope, execution, proof, payment and profit are one record.

SMG Tools begins here, with three things: a person can create an account, the account belongs to a business, and the business has jobs. Everything that follows hangs off a job.

The idea is a service business that runs from a truck rather than a desk — a plumber, an electrician, a pest control operator — and a product where the quote, the work, the proof it was done, the invoice and what was actually kept are one connected record rather than five apps and a spreadsheet. Solo first, and built so that a second person can join without anything being rebuilt.

There is not much to look at yet. There is a direction.
