What SMG Tools caught for you, on your Billing page

The owner's Billing page now counts, from your own records, what came in after SMG Tools did its part this month — set beside what your plan costs.

A subscription is easy to weigh by what it costs and hard to weigh by what it earns back. Your Billing page now does the second half, from your own records.

What SMG Tools caught. Beside your plan’s monthly price, the owner sees this month so far and last month, a line for each kind of catch with how many and how much: invoices paid after an automatic reminder, proposals accepted after an automatic follow-up, change orders accepted, deposits collected up front, prices raised to your target margin before a proposal was sent, and parts billed from an invoice’s parts check. Open a line and the invoices, proposals and jobs behind it are there, each a link, so every figure can be checked.

After, never because of. Each line is an order of events your records prove — the reminder went, then the invoice was paid — and never a guess at what your customer would have done anyway. The money is what reached you: less refunds, without tips, and nothing voided. A month with nothing to count says so rather than showing a zero.

Two catches recorded from today. A line raised past its Under target flag counts when the proposal is first sent; a part the parts check put on an invoice counts when the invoice is sent with it on. Both lines say counted since October 17, 2026 — nothing before it is estimated.

In your monthly summary, and from the assistant. The owner’s monthly summary carries the same figures for the month just ended, and the assistant answers what did SMG Tools catch this month? with them. It is the owner’s alone, on every plan, and never added up across businesses.

The home and pricing pages now set a year of Professional against three worked examples from a sample business — an underpriced quote, a job running over while there is time to act, and parts nobody billed — each with the screen it came from.
