Your public page

A shareable page for your business with your details, your hours and a quote form that feeds straight into your leads — no website needed.

Every plan, with some parts on Professional or Crew Your business online

Every business on SMG Tools gets a page of its own at a web address you can hand out, put on a van or text to somebody. If you have no website, this is one. If you have one, this is the page that takes the request and puts it in front of you.

It is on by default, so it exists from the day you sign up.

What is on it

  • Your business name and logo.
  • Your phone, email and address.
  • Your hours.
  • A Request a Quote form.
  • A photo gallery, if you want one.

The address is worked out from your business name and you can change it. Changing it is worth thinking about once — an address you have already handed out stops working when you change it, so you are warned before you do.

There is a Powered by SMG Tools line in the footer, on every page, always.

Take a request

The Request a Quote form takes a name, a contact, a description of the work and — if they want to say — a preferred date and time window.

What arrives is a lead, which is a lightweight record of somebody who is not yet a client. You convert it to a client when you are ready, so an inquiry that goes nowhere does not clutter your client list.

The preference they gave shows on the screen where you convert the lead, so whoever books the work can book something that suits them. See Letting clients ask for a visit.

Offer real times instead of preferences

A preferred window is advisory — you confirm an actual time. If you would rather customers picked a genuine slot, computed from your hours, your crew and your travel time, turn on online booking; see Online booking and availability.

Show the licenses you hold

Where you track business licenses, you can choose to publish the active ones on this page as a trust signal. Worker licenses are never published — see Field service compliance.

What it costs

Everything here is on every plan — the page, the form, the leads it produces. Distribution should not be a paid feature.

The one exception is the photo gallery, which needs Professional, because storing a photograph costs us per file.

This page describes Public Business Page & Lead Capture. It is written from that feature’s record and covers what has shipped, never what is planned.
