Warranties on your client's page

Your client can see whether they are still covered — labor and materials, through what date — without ringing to ask.

Every plan Your business online

Your client’s own page lists everything they hold with you. The one thing it did not list was the thing they most often ring about: am I still covered?

The product already knows. Now they can see it.

What your client sees

A Warranties section on their page, one line per warranty on their jobs:

  • Which job it came from.
  • What it covers.
  • Labor through a date, and materials through a date — often different, and worth showing separately.
  • Whether it is active, expiring soon, or expired.
  • The exclusions the warranty named.

Each unit at their property also shows its manufacturer’s warranty end date, where that is recorded.

Where warranties come from

Every accepted proposal with a warranty block creates a warranty record on the job. You do not record them separately — they are a consequence of what your client agreed to.

The dates, the coverage and the exclusions are what the proposal said, which is what makes the page safe to show them: it is quoting their own contract back rather than a summary somebody typed.

Why it saves you the call

Am I still covered? is a phone call that costs you five minutes and gets an answer somebody has to look up. Showing it turns that into something the customer checks themselves — and a customer who can see the cover is a customer more likely to ring you for the work when it runs out.

Reminders

The product already emails about warranties approaching their end. This is the same information where your customer can reach it, rather than only in your inbox.

This page describes Warranties on the Client Hub. It is written from that feature’s record and covers what has shipped, never what is planned.
