Getting set up on Scale

Scale includes a person to bring your records across, set your team up and walk your crew through it — what that covers, what to have ready, and what it does not include.

Every plan, with some parts on Professional, Crew or Scale Your account and your data

A business on Scale is set up by a person. It is included in the plan and never sold on its own: switching from another product should cost you a week, not a season.

Book your setup

As the owner of a Scale business, your dashboard shows Book your setup until the setup is done. It opens the page where you choose a time. Where that page is not available, it gives you the support email to write to instead.

Once you have booked, the card says so and lets you change the time. It goes away when the setup is marked done.

What setup covers

  • Your records brought in — your clients, the equipment at their properties, your own equipment and your Price Book, from the files your old product exports, on the same import tools any business can use.
  • Your people set up — your office users invited, with the roles they need, and your field workers invited to their own sign-in.
  • A session with your crew — on their phones, the way they will use it on a job.

What to have ready

  • The exports from your old product — your client list, your equipment and your price list, as spreadsheets. The import page lists what each one can hold.
  • Who works for you — each person’s email address, and whether they run the office or work in the field.

What setup does not include

  • Your history. Past jobs, invoices, payments and hours stay in the product you are leaving, as the history: importing them would make one up.
  • Data the import tools cannot read, such as attachments or a format no spreadsheet carries.
  • Custom integrations. The public API and Zapier are there to connect what you run; building a connection for you is not part of setup.

Priority support

On Scale your emails to support are answered before anyone else’s. The reply time and the address are on your Support page in the console, and on the page for bigger companies.

This page describes Every Size — Plans and Positioning. It is written from that feature’s record and covers what has shipped, never what is planned.
